First Impression of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine

Developer: Relic Entertainment

Publisher: THQ/SEGA

Platform: Windows, PS3, 360

Genre: Third Person Shooter

The game is a little slow to start but picks up in the second chapter. It seemed a bit childish when I first played because the enemy were orcs. But that thought was quickly ended as I killed my first orc and blood sprayed all over. It is a very bloody game, which is kind of cool as it's not totally over the top. There is a whole lot of fighting, so if you enjoy battles then pick this game up.

My favorite element of the game is the gameplay, as I truly enjoy the chain sword which makes killing enemies a whole lot easier. Supporting AI's actually put in work which is a big help. You head by pressing triangle then circle when you are fighting an enemy. Which its a lot better than having to run all over the place for red orbs.

You take control of Captain Titus, who is an ultramarine which I believe is like the royal marines as regular soldiers refer to Titus as "lord". They serve some kind of space emperor but I haven't seen him yet.

Initial Rating: 6.8/10
