Music and Gaming

Hello!
 I've noticed that two of the games that I have, NBA 2k12 and Saints Row: The Third allow the users to add music of their choosing into the games. Which is kind of cool but most of the time I just use my ipod or my PSP (yep I still have one and use it to this day). GTA really used this back in San Andreas.

My ipod features sex-based music while my PSP has inspirational music on it. I am a very odd person I know, haha and I love it. Anyway, I noticed a few gamers will stream while listening to music as well. I think it helps shut out the outside world and you get to focus more on the game. I found myself having even more fun when I put my music on.

But sadly there is only one song on Saints Row that I like (An Amanda Blank song). I haven't given up, I am going to listen to more of the songs that are featured in the game but I am rarely in the car long enough to listen to them. I usually will listen to music more when I am playing online since I don;t want to hear some of the people who have mics on and I just don't feel like muting them. Plus I learn better when I have music, It really helps me to focus and I choose to heighten my level while playing games. I don't stream myself playing games, so there is no reason for me to use a mic.

Though I don't listen to music if there is a cutscene or a story focused game. Calls like NBA 2k12, Madden 13, Modern Warfare 2, NFL Blitz: The league 2 and many others are the kinds of games I listen to music while playing.
