This company has been on thin ice for a long time now after the downfall of its Assassin's Creed series.
3. "killing" desmond
Desmond may not have been my favorite character but he was the central character of the game. Without him we wouldn't have Ezio, so the idea of Desmond's death was a bit too predictable. It's not until the 4th game that they reveal that Desmond is dead but there is a suspicion that Desmond is still alive inside of the machine. Trying to make the game more personal with the player taking control of a researcher that we never seen which was a bad idea. It really didn't fit with the series and kind of made fans of the series mad.
2. Death of Ezio
Ezio was the mascot of the series basically, he was the main character in 4 of the main games. A lot of people bonded with the character and felt something for him. So when they released Revelations as a way to end Ezio was a bit annoying. You actually don't see Ezio die, you have to buy a special animation that we show his life after he married the love interest in Revelations. Honestly, it pissed me a lot that they tried to make people buy this short film to know how Ezio died. Also, it was a bit weak on Ubisoft's part to kill Ezio off the way they did. After Revelations, they have only released 1 game main characters which really doesn't help us bond with the characters. With Ezio gone, they really don't have any good characters left as they killed off the first two assassins.
1. Rushing
Ubisoft has been releasing their games way too fast, it seems like there is one Assassin's Creed every year. Despite all of the people that work on the games, the series is getting weaker in each game. the IV game was so glitchy and boring that it nearly killed the series. There are so many bugs, weak storylines, annoying characters, poor side missions, and so many other problems. Its sad to see such a good series fall down the shitter when it still could be so great.
