Why God of War Ascension sucked!!

God of War: Ascension was one of the unnecessary prequels in the God Of War Series that is developed by SCE Santa Monica Studios. GOW 1 and 2 were awesome yet the series failed to impress too much with the third installment in the main series. The ending was really not done well as it left the crowd wanting more and the twist was a little too weak to pass it off as a mistake.

Now Ascension's graphics were amazing but that's all I can say about it. The detail of the characters and the world was simply incredible. The game lacked a good story and depth. The three furies were not good game villains, they were very annoying. After having Zeus and Ares then Athena, they decided on three women who aren't really known to the general public? At best the furies would be good minor characters but not as main characters.

Another problem was Kratos himself, they did something I couldn't believe. They made Kratos kind, he helped people...This wouldn't be bad if they ever showed that side to him in the other games. So the idea that Kratos was kind was a little bizarre. I recently beat the game and I will tell you its not worth the money at all. Despite the good reviews for the game, it totally sucked. The reviewers seemed to be hanging on the top of Sony's dick. Sure, some of them talked about a lack of story but they still praised the game to the point that the average rating for the game is 8/10.

This game is the Avatar of the video game world, the graphics were amazing but the story was so dull that it really sucked the fun out of this game. The combat system was really weak, you don't really use magic in this game instead your blades can have different elemental powers. Which if you think about it seems quite lazy for a hack and slash series. I can't believe this game was nominated for a writing award, they must have tried to buy the award. This is no way that this game should win any award that isn't related to graphics.

This is another mistake on Sony's long list of fuck-ups. Plus none of us even asked for another god damn prequel.
